BV Cool Trees is committed not just to increasing Buena Vista's tree canopy, but to strengthening civic engagement and youth service learning throughout the City. In that spirit, the program pays a group of BV high schoolers each summer to take part in the Tree Team internship.

Tree Team interns commit to three weeks of community work, connection building, and ecological learning. They collaborate to complete hands-on projects, build their knowledge alongside tree professionals, and share their expertise with the community.
